- Simmer on low heat for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 20-30 minutes to further infuse.
- Strain the syrup and store in an airtight container.
- Refrigerate for up to 10 days or freeze for up to 6 months.
