  1. Mix flour salt and powdered sugar in a large bowl
  2. Add the cold butter cubes and work with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs
  3. Add the egg and work quickly to form a dough
  4. Wrap in plastic film and refrigerate for 30 minutes
  5. Preheat oven to 180C 350F
  6. Roll out the dough and line a 23cm 9inch tart pan
  7. Prick the bottom with a fork and blind bake for 20 minutes until golden
  8. Let the crust cool completely
  9. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package instructions using the milk
  10. Pour the hot pudding into the cooled crust
  11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set
  12. Serve chilled
