Instructions
- In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Pulse a few times to mix.
- Add cold diced butter and pulse until coarse crumbs form with some pea-sized pieces. Do not overmix.
- Add 7 Tbsp ice water and pulse just until moist clumps form. Test if dough holds together between your fingertips. If not, add more water, 1 tsp at a time.
- Transfer dough to a clean surface and gather into a ball (do not knead). Divide in half and flatten into 2 disks.
- Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out one disk of dough and place in a pie dish. Fill with cherry pie filling.
- Roll out the second disk for the top crust. Cut out eyes and use extra dough to mold a nose and lips to create a face design.
- Place the top crust over the filling, seal edges, and cut vents.
- Bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
