- In a large bowl combine warm milk sugar and yeast Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy
- Add melted butter eggs flour and salt to the yeast mixture Mix until a soft dough forms
- Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic
- Place in a greased bowl cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size
- Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal portions Shape each portion into a ball
- Place the rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes
- Preheat oven to 190C
- Mix minced garlic and herbs in a small bowl
- Brush rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with garlic herb mixture
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown
- Brush hot rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with additional herbs if desired
- Serve warm
