  1. In a large bowl combine warm milk sugar and yeast Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy
  2. Add melted butter eggs flour and salt to the yeast mixture Mix until a soft dough forms
  3. Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic
  4. Place in a greased bowl cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size
  5. Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal portions Shape each portion into a ball
  6. Place the rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish
  7. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes
  8. Preheat oven to 190C
  9. Mix minced garlic and herbs in a small bowl
  10. Brush rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with garlic herb mixture
  11. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown
  12. Brush hot rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with additional herbs if desired
  13. Serve warm
