  5. Incorporate the cream and milk, whisking until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
  6. Pour the egg mixture into the prepared pan and distribute the cherries evenly throughout.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes or until the clafoutis is golden brown.
  8. Let cool on a wire rack.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream topped with a fresh cherry if desired.
