  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F)
  2. Grease a round cake pan
  3. In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients together: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, Christmas spices, cinnamon, cloves, baking powder, and salt
  4. Gradually add the milk to the dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition
  5. Add the oil (or melted butter) and honey, mixing until you obtain a homogeneous batter that is neither too liquid nor too compact
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes
  8. Test for doneness by inserting a knife into the center – if it comes out clean, the cake is ready
  9. Let cool before serving
