- Separate the egg whites from the yolks into two different bowls.
- In one bowl, whisk the egg yolks with sugar until the mixture becomes pale and fluffy.
- Add the mascarpone cheese to the egg yolk mixture and mix well until you get a smooth cream.
- In the other bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the stiff egg whites into the mascarpone cream mixture using a spatula, maintaining as much air as possible.
- Crush most of the Oreo cookies into coarse crumbs, saving a few whole cookies for decoration.
- In a small bowl, combine the milk with vanilla extract.
- Briefly soak the crushed Oreo cookies in the vanilla-infused milk.
- In a serving dish or individual glasses, create a layer of soaked Oreo crumbs at the bottom.
- Add a layer of the mascarpone cream on top of the Oreo crumbs.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of mascarpone cream.
- Place whole Oreo cookies on top for decoration and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to develop.
- Serve chilled and enjoy this delicious twist on traditional tiramisu.
