- Preheat the oven to 200°C or 400°F
- In a mixing bowl cream together the soft butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
- Add the almond flour eggs and rum to the butter mixture Mix until you obtain a smooth almond cream filling
- Place one sheet of puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Spread the almond cream mixture in the center of the pastry leaving a 3cm border around the edges
- Hide the bean or charm in the almond cream
- Cover with the second sheet of puff pastry and seal the edges firmly by pressing with your fingers
- Brush the top with beaten egg yolk
- Using a knife create a decorative pattern on top by lightly scoring the pastry in a diamond or swirl pattern
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and puffed
- Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving
- Place the paper crown on top for traditional presentation
