  1. In a large bowl mix warm water white sugar and fresh yeast Stir until yeast and sugar are dissolved
  2. Add the flour to the mixture and combine to form a dough
  3. Add salt and knead the mixture for five minutes The dough should be sticky
  4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for one hour
  5. After one hour punch down the dough and briefly remix
  6. Cover again and let rest for another hour until doubled in size
  7. Wet your hands with water take portions of dough and shape into rings making a hole in the center
  8. Heat oil in a deep pot for frying
  9. Fry each donut in hot oil until golden brown on both sides
  10. Remove from oil and immediately coat with sugar
