  1. Preheat the oven to 425F.
  2. Using a pairing knife, score a 1/2 inch border around the edge of the thawed puff pastry sheet. Poke holes all over the pastry with a fork.
  3. Brush the entire pastry with the beaten egg, discarding any remaining egg.
  4. Bake the pastry for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and press down the center puff with the back of a spoon.
  5. Spread pizza sauce inside the scored border, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, red onion, and olives.
  6. Bake for another 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and melted.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil.
  8. Cut the puff pastry pizza into 9 equal squares and serve hot. Enjoy!
