- To make the pasta dough, combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour and crack the eggs into it. Beat the eggs with a fork, gradually incorporating the flour until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes.
- To make the filling, combine the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, basil, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Stir until well combined.
- Divide the pasta dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll out each piece of dough into a thin sheet, about 1/8-inch thick.
- Cut the pasta dough into 2-inch squares.
- Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each square. Fold the dough in half and press the edges together to seal.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the ravioli in the boiling water for 3-4 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- Remove the ravioli from the water with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve the ravioli with your favorite sauce.
