Ingredients – Baked Cinnamon Donuts

  • Cinnamon Sugar Topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 6 ct donut pan or muffin pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg/cardamom and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, egg, milk, sour cream and melted butter.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and whisk until fully combined and smooth.
  5. Spoon batter into donut pan cavities, filling about 3⁄4 full.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until tops bounce back when lightly pressed. Cool 5 minutes.
  7. In a bowl, combine melted butter, sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Brush cooled donuts with melted butter then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
  9. Place coated donuts on cooling rack and enjoy!
